Not only smartphones, OnePlus is also preparing a premium tablet and a compact one

The market continues to evolve steadily and OnePlus seems firmly intent on consolidating its presence well beyond the traditional mobile sector.

The latest rumors indicate indeed a clear and dual strategy by the Asian company for the current year, aimed at meeting users’ diametrically opposed needs through the development of two new tablets.

On the one hand, the long-awaited return of a compact-sized model is taking shape, while on the other, a solution designed for maximum productivity and for entertainment without any compromise is taking form.

Le prime indiscrezioni su un tablet di dimensioni contenute a marchio OnePlus circolavano gi from August of last year, to then fade away temporarily. Now, the well-known informant Digital Chat Station has reignited public interest by confirming that the project is far from abandoned.

The OGA group, an industrial consortium that includes OPPO, OnePlus and Realme, would be working on a device of 8 inches equipped with a high-end processor from the Snapdragon 8 series, with a high likelihood the Gen 5 variant or its Elite variant.

As recent sales strategies teach us, the group’s distribution dynamics often foresee an initial launch in China under the OPPO brand, then reintroducing the same product at international level under the OnePlus name.

For this specific model, already nicknamed online as Pad Mini, a debut on the Asian market is expected in the month of April. If these timelines are met, global distribution could begin in autumn.

Power and battery life for the high-end segment

In addition to focusing on the smaller variant, the company is directing its efforts toward the higher-end segment of the market.

According to the reliable source Yogesh Brar, OnePlus is currently testing a new and massive model equipped with a large 12-inch display, aimed at those who need a true workhorse.

Inside the chassis of this alleged OnePlus Pad 4 should fit the powerful chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, supported by a remarkably large battery with a capacity that would exceed 12,000 mAh.

Considering the excellent hardware already used in the recent OnePlus Pad 3, the adoption of cutting-edge components will ensure top-tier performance for advanced multitasking, the most demanding games and AI-based applications.

Leaked information suggests a presentation planned for the month of June. As the devices are currently in the testing phase, final specifications could still undergo slight variations.

In any case, the inclusion of such a capacious battery, together with the usual efficiency of Qualcomm processors, promises to guarantee extremely long battery life.
