Samsung The Freestyle+: Portable entertainment evolves with AI at CES 2026

On the occasion of the CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Samsung unveiled in preview The Freestyle+, the latest evolution of its famous portable projector, now enhanced with advanced artificial intelligence features. The device was designed to surpass the limits of traditional displays, offering a flexible viewing experience that naturally adapts to the different spaces of daily life.

Thanks to a compact design and refined software integration, Samsung aims to make high-quality entertainment accessible anywhere, eliminating the technical complexities typical of home projection.

The technological core of The Freestyle+ lies in the AI OptiScreen system, a suite of intelligent features that fully automate image setup.

Thanks to 3D Auto Keystone technology, the projector is able to instantly correct distortions even when projecting onto irregular surfaces or complex angles, while the Real-time focus ensures absolute sharpness even during device movement.

Completing the picture are the Screen Fit, which adjusts the frame size to the available area, and the Wall Calibration, capable of analyzing the wall color to chromatically balance the projection and avoid visual distractions. The experience is further enriched by Vision AI Companion, a platform that evolves interaction with Bixby, making the dialogue with the projector more fluid and natural.

From a hardware standpoint, The Freestyle+ retains its characteristic cylindrical shape with a 180-degree rotation, allowing it to transform walls, floors, and even ceilings into a screen without external supports. Despite its compact size, the device offers brightness double that of the previous generation, ensuring immersive images even in common home environments.

It is possible to instantly access a wide range of content thanks to the integration of Samsung TV Plus, certified OTT services, and Samsung Gaming Hub, which lets you play the latest titles directly from the projector.

As for the hardware, The Freestyle+ includes a 360-degree speaker that distributes audio evenly throughout the room, delivering rich and full sound despite the unit’s compactness. For those seeking even more power, the Q-Symphony feature allows the projector to work in perfect harmony with compatible Samsung soundbars.

The Freestyle+ represents a significant leap forward in the portable projector market, demonstrating how artificial intelligence can remove barriers between the user and their favorite content.

With improved brightness and an automatic calibration system that requires no manual intervention, the device is poised to become the standard for those seeking uncompromising versatility. Samsung has planned a gradual global rollout for this new model in the course of the first half of 2026.
