OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite will be the essential mid-range, with an affordable price

The coming months will be key for OnePlus fans aiming for a mid-range device. In April there will be the debut of the Nord 6 model, but the new lineup will be enriched with two more additions in May. Among them is also OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite: the entry-level model of the series returns after skipping a generation, and there are already the first rumors.

As we hinted above, the date of April 7 is dedicated only to Nord 6, the only device officially confirmed. The phone will be announced in India and will probably also make an appearance here (but we don’t know when). In recent hours an insider showed a alleged live photo of the younger brother Nord CE 6, coming in May (according to leaks).

Well, in fact the winning element of the new lineup would be OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite: even the entry model of the family should debut in May, and now more details have emerged about what we can expect.

On board there would be an LCD screen of 6.7″ diagonal with a high refresh rate, at 120 Hz. To drive everything, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset: not exactly recent (dating back to 2024), it’s a 6 nm SoC built by TSMC, with an octa-core configuration up to 2.4 GHz and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

Good battery, reportedly 7,000 mAh, but for now there are no clues about charging power. However the source specifies that there will be no charger in the box (referring to the Indian market), a strategy to keep costs down and allow offering an attractive price.

Indeed there are rumors of a starting price below 23,000 rupees and launch offers even under 20,000 rupees; we are talking about around €210 and €182 at the exchange rate.

The overview of specs continues with a 50 MP main camera, a 16 MP selfie camera and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Configurations would start from 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

The mid-range features are in line with those of the previous Nord CE 4 Lite (also arrived in Italy) also launched with an older processor – albeit Snapdragon. The big difference concerns the display, but it seems reasonable that OnePlus might choose to forgo an AMOLED panel to keep the price down.
