The OnePlus Ultra flagship is ready, with an extra-large battery

In OnePlus’s near future there is the launch of a new flagship aimed at the Chinese market. OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra will aim to take on the top Gaming Phones with flagship-grade specs and a large battery: here are the latest rumors coming from China, as the debut gets ever closer.

The latest news about the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra comes with its MIIT certification: the device has been approved by the Chinese authority, marking another step towards its debut. The launch is expected to take place in April (in China), and now insiders Digital Chat Station and Bald Panda have also revealed what to expect in terms of battery life.
The smartphone has been certified under the model number PMB110 (useful for spotting it elsewhere, perhaps in benchmarks) and is said to feature an 8,500 mAh silicon-carbon battery.
As of now, the OnePlus smartphone with the largest battery is the OnePlus Turbo 6, which packs a 9,000 mAh unit.

What we know about the gaming flagship killer

The upcoming OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra has already made headlines: once again, the company has taken the Gaming Phone route for its Ultra model, setting it apart from competitors. Usually, “Ultra” devices focus on camera performance, but Pete Lau’s brand has chosen to go in a different direction.
The phone is expected to feature a built-in cooling fan and an IP68-rated chassis for dust and water resistance. Powering it will likely be MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, while the visual experience should be top-tier thanks to a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 165 Hz refresh rate.

What’s new for global markets

While the Ultra model is expected to launch in China, that doesn’t mean there won’t be updates for global markets. On April 7, the new OnePlus Nord 6 will be officially announced—its debut is planned for India, but it’s very likely to arrive in Italy soon after.
May should also bring the unveiling of two more devices yet to be officially introduced: the Nord CE 6 and Nord CE 6 Lite, two highly anticipated additions to the brand’s mid-range lineup.
