With the opening of the Barcelona MWC, the Chinese manufacturer has announced a slew of novelties that range from the new folding device to the brand’s first humanoid robot. Among the latest additions to the ecosystem there is also Honor MagicPad 4, the only device among those unveiled to be immediately available for purchase in Italy: here are all the details on design, technical specifications, price and release, along with the first opportunities to save.
The new premium Honor tablet arrives after more than a year since the previous MagicPad 2, at least with regard to Italy. In China, both MagicPad 3 and the bigger brother 3 Pro, both new for our country.
With Honor MagicPad 4 the company has decided to return in a big way, with a device featuring refined design – equipped with an ultra-slim and light chassis – made of metal, without sacrificing performance. But, above all, offering a desktop-like experience useful for those seeking a tablet designed for maximum productivity.
The device has a thickness of only 4.8 mm, positioning it as the thinnest tablet ever made – even surpassing the 5.1 mm of the iPad Pro. In addition, it is also the lightest model in its class, thanks to a weight of about 450 grams. This result was achieved thanks to a crescent-shaped structure and the use of a special aerospace-grade fiber, which increases rigidity by 30% while reducing weight by 32%.
The front is occupied by a 12.3″ OLED display with ultra-thin bezels of only 4 mm, for an almost edge-to-edge visual experience. Among other features we have a 3K resolution, a refresh rate of 165 Hz and up to 2,400 nits of peak brightness: the final result is top-tier fluidity and maximum visibility, even outdoors.
Present are various eye-fatigue reduction technologies, including PWM Dimming at 5.280 Hz, AI Display for reducing focus issues and DOT Eye for visual comfort.
Honor MagicPad 4 is equipped with a large screen, compact dimensions and takes care of the user, yet on the other hand it does not lack top performance. The heart of the experience is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, Qualcomm’s latest high-end chipset.
There is also a large 10.100 mAh battery with 66W SuperCharge charging, 8 speakers with spatial audio, and a cooling system that combines a 13-layer 3D thermal architecture with a heat-dissipation area of a staggering 81.717 mm2.
Come sottolineato anche poco sopra, Honor MagicPad 4 punta a diventare lo strumento preferito per la produttività e lo fa diventando una vera workstation.
L’interface smart offers a desktop-like experience with a PC-class file management system, dedicated navigation bars and full mouse support. Users can use familiar shortcuts like Ctrl+C, Alt+Tab and advanced multi-select gestures to manage the multi-window system. Thanks to the desktop interface multitasking becomes comparable to that of traditional laptops.
Additionally, we find advanced AI tools designed specifically to improve the workflow. Among these, AI Memo – acts as a digital assistant, automatically generating meeting transcripts and identifying speakers –, AI Meeting Agent, smart reminders, automatic summaries and noise cancellation based on voice fingerprint.
Moreover, thanks to Honor Connect, the device offers seamless connectivity between different brands, allowing the tablet to function as an extended screen for Mac computers and enabling instant connection and sharing between devices of any brand, including iPhone, iPad and Mac.
The new Honor MagicPad 4 debuts in Italy in gray and white colors, in configurations of 12/256 and 12/512 GB. The prices of the two SKUs are €699.9 and €799.9, but launch offers are already available through the official store.
The 256 GB version is on promo at €599.9 and is also available in a bundle with Keyboard and Pencil at €649.9. The 512 GB model is discounted to €699.9 and, in this case as well, there is a complete bundle on offer at €749.9. If you do not see the box below correctly, try disabling AdBlock.
