Following Roland Quandt’s colossal tease, the Chinese manufacturer opted for a surprise launch. The new series debuts with Honor 600 Lite, currently announced only for the Malaysian market but will surely arrive on our shores (as history has shown). Let’s discover all the news, starting with the design – definitely more “traditional” than its predecessor.
With Honor 400 Lite we witnessed the introduction of a unique style, characterized by a Squircle module containing a triangular-shaped space (with rounded corners) to house a dual camera and the LED flash. With Honor 600 Lite we return to traditional lines with a squared module housing two sensors once again and introducing a ring LED flash.
The camera system is based on a main 108 MP sensor accompanied by a 5 MP ultra-wide. Frontally, in the central punch-hole, sits a 16 MP selfie camera. The device is rated IP66, while along the right edge we find the AI Camera button.
The display is a 6.6″ AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness up to 6,500 nits. Other specs include the Dimensity 7100 Elite SoC, a 6,520 mAh battery, and support for 45W fast charging.
Definitely an elegant and balanced device – with Android 16, Bluetooth 6.0 and NFC for payments – the Honor 600 Lite was announced only in the 12/256 GB variant, at a price of about €305 at current exchange rates. As noted at the opening, for now the phone has debuted only in Malaysia but will surely reach Europe soon.
In the meantime, take a look at early leaks about the Honor 600 series: with the existence of the Lite model, it’s clear that globally the brand will skip a generation. So after the Chinese launch of the 500 series, the new 600 family should arrive here directly.
