Lei Jun’s company is preparing to launch several new features, both globally and in China. For our market we are awaiting the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra, already official in its homeland; turning to the new developments at home, the company is working on Redmi K90 Ultra, a flagship device that will take the previous generation to the next level.
The news is varied – as seen also in previous rumors – and now there is also a improved Bose audio. Furthermore it is a device to watch out for since it should be the base for our Xiaomi 17T Pro.
The latest previews for the upcoming Redmi K90 Ultra add a detail that comes from Redmi K90 Pro Max: like the latter, the flagship model would also feature a configuration with triple speaker and audio Bose.
The peculiarity of the Pro Max is the presence of a rear speaker, integrated into the camera module. Probably the Ultra variant will also have a similar design, at least according to recent disclosures.
Speaking of Bose, it seems that Redmi K Pad 2 (coming globally as Xiaomi Pad Mini 2) will also have audio optimizations—but no extra speaker.
Turning to Redmi’s giant, these novelties would also affect its international counterpart, namely Xiaomi 17T Pro. The recent POCO F8 Ultra (a rebrand of Redmi K90 Pro Max) arrived with Bose audio and rear speaker, so it’s likely that the Xiaomi model won’t suffer any downgrades.
Below you’ll find an early draft of the specs sheet, based on leaks so far. The leaks even mention a cooling fan in Gaming Phone style, while the launch is expected to take place over the coming months.
