Do you want the Milano-Cortina Samsung smartphone? The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition is already on eBay

Last month, Samsung unveiled a truly special version of its latest clamshell foldable, dedicated specifically to athletes taking part in the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

This device was designed as an exclusive tribute, distributed free of charge to all participants in the sporting events.

The company never planned to market this model to the general public, effectively making it a collectible item virtually unobtainable in traditional stores. However, the web often offers unexpected avenues for more determined collectors.

In recent hours, on the popular buying-and-selling platform eBay, a listing appeared that immediately captured the attention of technology enthusiasts and sport memorabilia collectors. A user has put up for sale precisely a specimen of the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition.

The device in question boasts top-tier specifications, presenting itself in the configuration with 12 GB of RAM and a whopping 512 GB of internal storage.

The asking price to acquire this rarity fully reflects its exclusive nature: the seller has set the figure at $1,680. The premium cost is clearly justified by the extremely limited edition of the product.

A curious detail accompanies the listing: the descriptive text erroneously reports the name “Galaxy Z Fold 3“. Despite this slip, the attached photos and the model number unequivocally confirm that this is indeed the Milano-Cortina 2026 limited edition.

An Opportunity for Collectors

The appearance of a product with such restricted availability raises inevitable questions about its provenance. The most plausible hypothesis is that the advertiser is an athlete participating in the Olympics, who decided to monetize the sponsor’s gift.

It is not unusual, during or after Olympic events, to witness athletes selling welcome packages. Alternatively, the phone may have been given to a family member or acquaintance, who then chose to sell it online.

Although theft cannot be ruled out a priori, it remains a highly unlikely scenario, considering the traceable dynamics of these marketplaces.

Whatever the true story behind this listing, the opportunity remains for anyone who wants to own a piece of history of the Italian Winter Olympics.

If you were disappointed by the lack of commercial availability of the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition, or if you simply want a smartphone that very few people in the world can flaunt, the used market has just opened an unexpected window.
