Plot twist for the Galaxy S26 Ultra: the S Pen is here and will come in two main colors

A few weeks ahead of the expected launch date for the Galaxy S26 series, the stream of rumors shows no sign of slowing down.

On the one hand we have already observed renders that seem to confirm the definitive design of the devices, new information from the Netherlands shifts attention to one of the most iconic accessories of the Ultra series: the S Pen.

According to what has emerged, Samsung would have opted for an unprecedented aesthetic strategy, marking a departure from the past.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, images of the S Pen

Images released by the Dutch outlet Nieuwe Mobiel reveal an intriguing detail: the pen of the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra will not be fully coordinated with the phone body as we have become used to in recent years.

The Korean manufacturer seems to have decided to simplify production, limiting the main body of the S Pen to two neutral colors: White and Black.

However, attention to detail has not disappeared entirely. Looking more closely at the leaked renders, one can note that the upper part of the pen, i.e., the snap mechanism that remains visible when the accessory is housed in the phone, will faithfully reflect the tones of the body.

This means that, while you hold a pen predominantly black or white, the cap will showcase the tones Black Shadow, Cobalt Violet, Galactic Blue or White Shadow. A choice that streamlines the production chain while maintaining the aesthetic continuity necessary when the phone is at rest.

The logic suggests that this approach will also extend to exclusive colors purchasable online. It is reasonable to expect that variants Silver Shadow and Pink Gold will be accompanied by an S Pen with standard body and matching tip, confirming this new two-tone design.

Accessories and display protection

Besides the stylus, images have emerged related to a range of cases and display protections dedicated to the new lineup.

An interesting detail concerns the anti-reflective protective films. While Nieuwe Mobiel shows several variants ready for the market, their usefulness could be questioned by the device’s own specifications of the device itself.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra should indeed mount a new Gorilla Armor, a glass that natively integrates a top-level anti-reflective layer, potentially making the purchase of further films unnecessary for most users.

Software news: Linux terminal and security

The surprises are not limited to hardware. The latest leaks suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could finally bridge a software gap felt by developers and tinkerers: native support for the Linux Terminal.

After years of anticipation, it seems Samsung is ready to open the doors to a much more advanced use of the device in productive and development contexts, bringing it closer to the idea of a pocket computer.

On the daily security front, there is growing talk about the arrival of the Scam Detection.

This feature, based on Google’s AI, would be able to analyze calls in real time to identify potential scams, alerting the user before it’s too late.
