Samsung Galaxy Book6 in Europe, three models with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and up to 30 hours of battery life

Samsung has announced yesterday the European launch of its new premium PC lineup, composed of Galaxy Book6 Ultra, Galaxy Book6 Pro and Galaxy Book6.

This new lineup confirms the manufacturer’s intention to offer devices that combine power and smart capabilities, addressing the needs of modern workflows through substantial hardware updates and an aesthetic refresh.

The three models share a portability-oriented build philosophy, while clearly differentiating themselves by internal components and intended use, spanning from professional creativity to advanced everyday use.

The aesthetic approach of the Galaxy Book6 series focuses on a minimal and essential design, characterized by clean lines, rounded corners, and a centered logo on the chassis. The devices, available in Grey and Silver, are designed to be slim and balanced, aiming to improve portability without sacrificing structural robustness.

Samsung has also introduced an improved internal cooling structure across the lineup, an engineering choice required to maintain stable performance even under intensive workloads.

Displays vary significantly among the models. The Galaxy Book6 Ultra features a 16″ Touch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, anti-reflective coating and a brightness of 1000 nits. The Pro series also adopts AMOLED technology with touch functionality and anti-reflective coating on both the 14″ and 16″ versions.

The base Galaxy Book6, instead, uses IPS panels with a WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200 pixels) resolution and a brightness of 350 nits, available in touch and non-touch variants depending on the diagonal chosen.

Technical specifications and performance

Under the hood, the Ultra series represents the pinnacle of performance, integrating Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors in the variants X9, 9, X7 and 7, accompanied by an Intel NPU capable of reaching the 50 TOPS for AI processing.

Graphics are handled by dedicated GPUs NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 series, specifically the models 5060 and 5070 with 8 GB of memory GDDR7. The memory RAM is LPDDR5X with configurations from 16 GB, 32 GB up to 64 GB, while the PCIe SSD storage ranges from 512 GB to 2 TB.

The Galaxy Book6 Pro maintains a high-performance profile but more oriented toward mobility, using processors Intel Core Ultra X7, 7 and 5, and relying on Intel Arc graphics.

The standard Galaxy Book6 offers configurations with Intel Core Ultra 7 and 5, an NPU up to 49 TOPS and integrated Intel graphics, with RAM options of 16 GB or 32 GB. All models benefit from intelligent productivity features and 360-degree connectivity within the Galaxy ecosystem for file sharing.

Battery life, connectivity and ports

Battery life is supported by batteries of different capacities depending on the chassis: the Ultra includes an 80.20 Wh battery with support for charging via USB-C adapter of 140 W or 100 W.

The Pro models carry batteries of 67.18 Wh for the 14-inch version and 78.07 Wh for the 16-inch version, with support for a 65 W adapter.

The standard Galaxy Book6 relies on a 61.2 Wh module with 45 W charging. Samsung promises up to 30 hours of battery life for the most capable models.

On the connectivity front, the Ultra and Pro variants support the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard and Bluetooth 5.4. The port offering for these premium models includes two Thunderbolt 4, a USB Type-A, a HDMI 2.1 port that supports signals up to 8K@60Hz and an SD slot exclusive to the Ultra model.

The Galaxy Book6, while limited to Wi-Fi 6E, offers notable versatility for the business environment thanks to the presence of two USB Type-C, two USB Type-A, HDMI, microSD slot and a RJ45 port for wired network connectivity.
