The anticipation for the new flagship iQOO 15 Ultra is about to end. With the official presentation scheduled for today, the company has decided to lay its cards on the table by publishing one final, revealing video teaser.
In just two minutes, the video condenses the essence of what promises to be one of the most powerful devices of the year, confirming the rumors of the last weeks and offering a look at technical specifications and design.
There are no more doubts: the manufacturer is betting everything on brute force and on a cooling system that will turn heads.
The undisputed protagonist of the video is the hardware, led by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The choice of this chipset is almost a given, but what catches the eye is the engineering solution adopted to manage its temperatures.
iQOO has integrated an active cooling fan, a move that marks the brand’s entry into the exclusive club of manufacturers who do not fear including mechanical parts in a smartphone to ensure sustained performance.
To support the Qualcomm platform we find the proprietary Q3 chip, dedicated exclusively to gaming. This coprocessor will handle heavy tasks such as resolution upscaling and frame generation, lightening the load on the main processor.
For the most demanding gamers, the video also confirms the presence of rear triggers with a 600 Hz sampling rate and a RGB LED strip on the back, details that scream the device’s gaming phone identity.
If power is nothing without control, it’s equally true that energy is needed to drive it. The new Ultra packs a 7,400 mAh battery.
Despite the generous size of the accumulator, the manufacturer has not sacrificed charging speed: the device will support 100 W wired fast charging and, as expected given the standard model’s specs, also high-performance wireless charging.
On the front, the experience is entrusted to a OLED LTPO panel at 144 Hz, built with Samsung’s M14 technology. This guarantees not only immediate responsiveness, essential for the target audience, but also superior image quality, complemented by a stereo audio setup with Dolby Atmos certification for a complete multimedia experience.
Despite the handheld-console vibe, the iQOO 15 Ultra doesn’t seem to neglect the photography department. The video clearly shows a three-camera configuration, including a periscope with a Sony 50 MP sensor with 3x optical zoom.
Interesting is the mention of optical stabilization (OIS) at CIPA 4.5 level, which suggests the ability to shoot clearly even in movement or low light conditions.
Finally, the teaser reveals the launch colors with a clear tribute to sci-fi pop culture. The variants will be named “2049” and “2077“, not-so-subtle references to masterpieces like Blade Runner and Cyperpunk 2077 by CD Projekt RED.
