iOS 26.4 Beta on the Way: Here’s the First Glimpse of the New Siri with Gemini

Beyond the price of the iPhone 17e, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has also revealed other upcoming changes for Cupertino, including the new version of Siri. Over the course of this year Apple’s iconic voice assistant will undergo a fundamental change, thanks to the help of Google Gemini: to see the final effect of this upheaval you will need to be patient, but a first taste could arrive very soon, with the release of the iOS 26.4 beta.

A glimpse of the new Siri improved by Gemini: the iOS 26.4 beta is around the corner

Crediti: Apple

The new beta version is expected in the very near term, precisely during the week of February 23 – provided there are no sudden delays. Clearly iOS 26.4 will be dedicated only to developers, at least in the initial phase: the software will arrive first as a Developer Beta and then in a public version, up to the stable release for everyone.

During this period it will be possible to preview in advance the first novelties of the new Siri, even though the presentation of the final version will take place during this year’s WWDC, with release alongside iOS 27.

Apple’s journey will culminate in Siri transforming into a true chatbot, marking the transition from the old voice assistant to an AI-based solution in Gemini or ChatGPT style.

Cupertino has struck a collaboration with Google to integrate Gemini models into Siri: this is a major development for Apple, but at least this approach will address one of the company’s biggest issues to date.

iOS 26.4, first in beta and then stable, will offer a first taste of the new incarnation of Siri: we therefore expect a more “intelligent” assistant, perhaps already able to understand a vaguely worded request, but for the total change we will have to wait for iOS 27.
