Mova E40 Ultra Review: The Vacuum Cleaning Robot to Buy for Under 400 Euros

In recent years the world of robotic vacuum cleaners has become one of the most complex and crowded segments in the entire home tech landscape. Every manufacturer promises revolutions, ever-higher suction power, almost “sentient” artificial intelligences, and a level of automation that should erase any human intervention. In reality, however, not all of these advances are truly useful and often you find very expensive products that, in daily use, do little more than cheaper models.

Mova E40 Ultra fits exactly into this context. It is not designed to be the most powerful robot overall nor the one richest in “futurishine” features, but to offer a complete, reliable and concrete experience, trying to keep the price in a clearly more affordable range. I used it as the main robot at home for several weeks, with different floors, pets and situations far from ideal: is it worth the 399 euros the brand asks for the sale on Amazon? Let’s find out together.

Mova E40 Ultra Review: Performance, Floor Washing and Value for Money

Design and Materials

Aesthetically, the MOVA E40 Ultra follows a fairly classic setup. The shape is the now-standard circular form, it integrates a LiDAR tower placed on top, and it is made in a light color that I personally find smarter than the classic glossy black robots, which end up forever covered in fingerprints and dust.

The first mapping is quick and surprisingly accurate. Already on the first pass, the robot can generate a detailed map of the home, correctly recognizing rooms, corridors and passage zones. I did not have to manually correct anything significant, a sign of a well-tuned navigation system.

The app is one of the key elements of the user experience and, fortunately, MOVA has done a good job here. The interface is clean, intuitive, and free of unnecessary complications. All main features are immediately accessible, from scheduling cleanings to water management, through to creating restricted zones.

I was very impressed with the app’s stability throughout the test period. No crashes, no sudden disconnections and commands always correctly received by the robot. It’s an aspect I often take for granted, but it’s not at all guaranteed in this product category.

Autonomy and Charging

The battery life is adequate for medium to large apartments. For very large surfaces, the robot can pause cleaning, recharge, and automatically resume from where it left off.

However, it’s worth noting a functional limit in intensive use scenarios. In turbo suction mode (maximum power), on large areas (e.g., 60 m²), the remaining battery percentage might sit around 20%. This may not be enough to start a full washing cycle immediately after suction, necessitating a short pause for interim charging and extending the total cleaning time for extended multi-cycle runs.

Sale Price and Considerations

The official sale price of the MOVA E40 Ultra is 499 euros but, via the box below, you can buy it on Amazon discounted at 399.00 euros. And that is a very interesting figure that makes this model one of the most compelling options in the category. It offers advanced features, complete automations, and a solid user experience without heavy compromises.

It has precise navigation, effective suction, a washing system suitable for everyday use, and a base that truly reduces maintenance. The software experience is also excellent, stable and well designed.

One caveat, though, is that the base is fairly large and on long-pile carpets suction performance might not fully meet expectations.
