Lenovo looks to the future with ThinkPad Rollable XD and AI Glasses | CES 2026

On the occasion of the CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Lenovo announced a wide range of innovations within its product lineup. Among the many novelties the manufacturer gave us a glimpse into the future of the tech world with a series of Concept.

These prototypes are not mere exercises in style, but propose an integrated ecosystem of devices designed to accelerate productivity and safeguard users’ well-being through personal AI computing solutions.

From rollable hardware to smart wearables, the company’s stated goal is to enable professionals and consumers to work more smartly and live better, surpassing the physical limits of traditional devices.

One of the most surprising innovations presented is the ThinkPad Rollable XD Concept, a notebook that reimagines the mobile work space thanks to an expandable display that grows from a compact 13.3″ to a surface approaching 16″.

Its expandable design offers over 50% more screen space without forcing the user to carry a bulky device, facilitating multitasking and adaptive workflows. The device features a 180° transparent coating in Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 that showcases the intricate engineering of the internal mechanisms, while interaction is made fluid by Swipe to X touch commands and voice controls. Thanks to the integrated AI, the terminal can operate with the lid closed as well, offering real-time translations and multimodal voice assistance for hybrid professionals.

Parallel to mobility, Lenovo introduced Personal AI Hub Concept, known as Project Kubit, a personal edge-cloud device that acts as the central hub for all the user’s devices, from smartphones to smart-home systems.

Under a transparent touch-screen display, the hub hides the power of two ThinkStation PGX workstations powered by the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell superchip. The system is capable of collecting and analyzing data from multiple platforms to offer a high-performance, deeply personalized AI experience, based on the individual’s daily interactions with their technology.

On the wearable front, the Lenovo AI Glasses Concept complete this vision by offering constant assistance in an ultralight format of only 45 grams. The glasses, powered by the Lenovo Qira assistant, support instant translation, image recognition and include practical features such as a teleprompter for public speeches and the “Catch Me Up” function to summarize the day’s notifications.

Lenovo’s focus also extends to home and professional environments with the new Smart Sense Display Concept. The 27″ UHD model acts as a smart hub capable of wireless connection to multiple devices simultaneously, enabling instant multi-screen collaboration and flexible window management via voice commands.

Particularly innovative is the AI-powered personalized display concept, which actively monitors the user’s posture, visual fatigue, and circadian rhythms to adjust brightness and color temperature in real time, ensuring maximum visual comfort.

Finally, sustainability and hardware customization find space in accessories such as the Adaptable Keyboard Concept, which allows adjusting key travel to switch from gaming to professional work, and in the Self-Charging Kit, a solar-powered keyboard-and-mouse set capable of operating with only 50 lux of indoor light, eliminating the need for wired recharges altogether.

The concepts presented by Lenovo at CES 2026 demonstrate that the technology of the near future will not only be more powerful, but will become proactive and capable of physically adapting to human needs. Although they are prototypes, the Asian company has offered an interesting panorama of what to expect!
