iQOO 15 Ultra arrives in February: will give REDMAGIC a run for its money

The passion for ultra-premium models involves everyone, even though iQOO 15 Ultra tries to stand out from rivals with the same naming.

Rather than focusing on photography, the brand vivo’s flagship’s top model looks to gaming and does so with dedicated features and peak performance. Here’s when it will arrive, along with the confirmations so far and the leaks about the specs.

iQOO 15 Ultra: Official presentation date and Gaming Phone features

After the teasers from the past few days — which also revealed the design with a futuristic touch — there is the presentation date: the iQOO 15 Ultra will be announced in China on the upcoming 4 February. The Global counterpart will almost certainly follow, but for now there is no date.

Meanwhile the company has shown the main Gaming Phone features, balancing style and practicality. For aesthetics, the smartphone is equipped with a technology called Texture on Fiber, with light plays that create a honeycomb pattern on the chassis — depending on the viewing angle (just as happens with the silver/red coloration of iQOO 15).

Included is a pair of rear buttons with a 600 Hz touch sampling rate and two independent chips for management (to minimize latency). Both touch buttons will be sweat-resistant and will be accompanied by a linear motor that simulates pressure.

The other Gaming Phone addition concerns the cooling of fan, a solution similar to what has always been seen on REDMAGIC. However, iQOO has opted for a more discreet approach, with a hidden fan under the chassis and two air intakes (under the camera module and along the edge of the phone). There is also a system with a large vapor chamber and elements with liquid metal.

Finally there is an RGB light inside the camera module: nothing flashy or particularly ostentatious, but a simple customizable LED.
