iQOO 15 Ultra, specifications of one of the cameras confirmed

The wait for the debut of the new iQOO 15 Ultra is almost over, with an official presentation planned for the end of this week.

In recent hours, however, the mosaic of technical specifications has been enriched with fundamental pieces, shifting the focus from pure performance (the brand’s hallmark) to imaging capabilities.

After revealing the display and the first images, the company has indeed released the official details regarding the camera hardware, suggesting a device that aims to compete at high levels in content creation as well.

iQOO 15 Ultra, all official information about the telephoto lens

The new flagship iQOO features a rear module with a triple-camera setup, where a 50 MP Sony-branded periscope telephoto lens stands out. The lens has a 3x optical zoom and should guarantee notable stability thanks to an optical image stabilization (OIS) system certified by CIPA at level 4.5.

This specification has been pursued to achieve sharp shots and free from micro-motion blur even in dynamic conditions or low light, a trait often critical for long focal length optics.

To support the hardware comes vivo’s proprietary processing suite, which confirms the close technological synergy between the two brands.

The device will integrate the Magic 2.0 Image Restoration Engine and the NICE 3.0 Optical Reconstruction Engine: two software engines designed to optimize detail rendering, manage digital noise and reconstruct complex visual information, elevating the final image quality well beyond the sensors’ physical limits.

A blazing-fast display and a processor with no compromises

If photography takes a leap forward, the display specifications reiterate iQOO’s commitment to excellence. It is now confirmed that a Samsung M14 OLED LTPO panel will be used, capable of reaching a 2K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate.

However, the most impressive figure remains the peak brightness, which touches the dizzying threshold of 8,000 nits, guaranteeing impeccable legibility in every condition and HDR content rendering of absolute significance.

Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a SoC that promises to handle any workload without any trouble. Alongside the main processor we will find the proprietary Q3 chip, dedicated specifically to optimizing gaming sessions, ensuring stable frame rates and intelligent power management.

The device’s identity remains faithful to the manufacturer’s DNA, with a range of features designed for the most demanding gamers. The chassis will host rear triggers for more precise control in shooters, while the cooling system will rely on an active cooling fan.

Completing the multimedia package are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a RGB LED strip, a stylistic touch that emphasizes the aggressiveness and modernity of the design.
