The first iQOO Ultra could have a launch window

After the official debut of the official debut of the iQOO 15 that took place in China last October and subsequently on some international markets in November, the attention of enthusiasts is now shifting toward a new, ambitious device.

We are talking about the highly anticipated iQOO 15 Ultra, a variant that promises to raise the bar even further compared to the standard model.

Rumors have circulated rapidly in recent weeks, painting the picture of a smartphone that will become a true gaming machine designed to dominate the sector.

According to the latest information leaked by the well-known and prolific Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, very active on the Weibo platform, the time is ripe for the official unveiling.

The source suggests with some confidence that the iQOO 15 Ultra will see the light in the first days of February. This time window does not seem random, but aligns perfectly with previous rumors that speculated a market arrival before the Chinese Lunar New Year, set for February 17.

To lend weight to these speculations, the brand itself recently confirmed its intention to unveil the device just before the start of the holidays, making the wait for fans even more feverish.

No compromises on performance?

Under the hood, the iQOO 15 Ultra does not seem inclined to compromise. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, sharing the same engine as the iQOO 15.

On the display front, the company also seems to want to maintain excellence: it is expected to feature an LTPO AMOLED panel of 6.85 inches with a resolution of 1440×3168 pixels.

The display specs include a 144 Hz refresh rate for impeccable smoothness and a peak brightness reaching the impressive value of 6,000 nits.

What truly distinguishes the Ultra version from the base model is its explicitly gaming-oriented vocation. The most striking novelty concerns the thermal management system: rumors indicate the presence of the largest active cooling fan ever seen on a smartphone.

This bold engineering solution is designed to keep temperatures under control even during the most intense and prolonged gaming sessions. Completing the package dedicated to gamers will be the rear/back buttons that will turn the phone into a true console.

The global availability conundrum

Despite the excitement generated by the technical specifications and innovative features, there remains a big question mark over the geographic distribution of the product.

At the moment, it is still very unclear whether iQOO intends to offer the 15 Ultra outside Chinese borders. While the international community strongly hopes for a positive answer, so far there have been no concrete indications or signs of a global launch.

Western enthusiasts will therefore have to wait for further official communications to find out whether they will be able to get their hands on this new jewel of mobile technology.
