The successor to the most original clamshell foldable has been postponed

The wait for the successor to what has been dubbed the most innovative clamshell foldable of 2025 will continue for a few more months.

Anyone hoping to get their hands on the new Huawei Pura X2 at the beginning of 2026 will have to revise their plans.

The latest rumors from the supply chain confirm a change in the roadmap of the Chinese tech giant, the launch will not take place in the first quarter of the year.

Huawei Pura X2, a strategic delay toward the second quarter

Initially slated for early 2026, the debut of the Pura X2 seems to have slipped toward the second quarter of the year. The new launch windows suggest a presentation that could fall between April, May or even June.

This time shift is not without consequences: placing the release in this period, the new foldable would likely arrive after the launch of the Huawei Pura 90 flagship series. Although enthusiasts hope for a release as early as April, the delay allows Huawei to further refine the device.

Computing power and thermal management

Per gestire le temperature derivanti da tale potenza, si vocifera l’introduzione di una nuova camera di vapore posizionata strategicamente attorno alla cerniera, progettata per dissipare il calore in eccesso.

L’aspetto piu distintivo del Pura X2 rimarra tuttavia il suo form factor. In netta contrapposizione con i display alti e stretti in formato 21:9 tipici della concorrenza, come la linea Galaxy Z Flip di Samsung, Huawei sembra intenzionata a mantenere il rapporto d’aspetto 16:10.

Le fonti indicano che lo schermo interno potrebbe espandersi fino a raggiungere i 7,7 pollici, rendendolo di fatto il pieghevole a conchiglia piu grande mai realizzato fino ad ora.

Questa unita hardware sara accompagnata da una svolta epocale sul fronte software. Il dispositivo sara tra i primi a debuttare con HarmonyOS 6.0, il sistema operativo che segna il distacco definitivo di Huawei dalle fondamenta legacy di Android, inaugurando ufficialmente l’era “post-robottino”.
