AI chatbots have become an integral part of the everyday life of many users. It’s not just an addition to the workflow, but also a comprehensive aid. The latest Google Gemini update could make Google’s assistant even more useful and interesting.
Similarly to what happens with other dedicated AIs, Gemini could introduce the possibility of creating music – just like with Nano Banana Pro and image generation.
The Android Authority team has uncovered an important detail inside the code of version 17.2.51.sa.arm64 of the Google Android app. These are precise strings that reference music generation: the image shows the new feature present in Gemini’s already-implemented features list.
The Google chatbot already has models for creating music, such as Lyra (usable by developers also via Gemini APIs), however it lacks an intuitive interface specifically for this function.
The presence of the line within the list of features would seem to suggest this: one new interface accessible via Gemini’s screen. However, from code analysis it isn’t possible to fully understand how this potential novelty will work; moreover it seems there will be usage restrictions (but we know which).
It is likely that the limitations may be related to the type of account in use, with more freedom for premium users. Anyway, from what has emerged there is indeed a new tool coming for Google Gemini, related to music. It remains to be seen when it will be implemented and for now there are no details on timing.
