Galaxy SmartTag 3, we’re finally here: leaked images and price

Following rumors about the design and the release window, new renders have emerged showing Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 3 in detail, along with expected colors and prices. The images come from Roland Quandt (always reliable) and would confirm the shape change already anticipated: goodbye to the pill-shaped form of the previous model, making room for a Squircle design, a square with rounded corners.

The dimensions would be 30 x 30 mm, with a thickness under 10 mm. The front would feature a silver finish with the Samsung logo prominently displayed, while on the back would sit the regulatory markings and a hole for replacing the button-cell battery.

The most significant change, however, would be the absence of the integrated hole for a keyring or carabiner, which was present on Galaxy SmartTag 2. Samsung would offer as an alternative dedicated external cases, in bumper, leather or silicone, equipped with a clip with an integrated carabiner: an approach similar to Apple’s AirTag.

Colors, connectivity and expected prices

On the connectivity front, Galaxy SmartTag 3 would retain both Bluetooth LE and Ultra-Wideband (UWB), for precise localization of the objects it is attached to. The renders would confirm the availability of two colorways, white and black.

As for prices, rumors indicate $30 for the single-pack and $100 for the four-pack in the United States, while in Europe the figures are higher, with the single unit at €39.9 (at least regarding Germany). The launch is expected within a few weeks.
