Xiaomi’s brand partner has officially launched in India POCO X8 Power, a mid-range smartphone that hinges on battery life thanks to a massive 10,000 mAh battery: the brand’s first big entry is out and now we just have to see if it will arrive here as well!
POCO X8 Power: all you need to know about the brand’s first colossal Battery Phone

The POCO X8 Power panel is a flat 6.83″ AMOLED with 1.5K resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, and a peak brightness that, depending on the source, is listed at 3,200 or 3,500 nits.
The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while on the durability front the device boasts four resistance ratings: IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K, a combination that covers both immersion in water and exposure to high-pressure hot water jets. The body is 8.65 mm thick and weighs 229 grams, and is available in Yellow and Black.
The standout feature of the POCO X8 Power is certainly the silicon-carbon battery of 10,000 mAh, with a declared silicon content of 16%, paired with the fast charging HyperCharge 100W and wired reverse charging up to 27W. According to TÜV SÜD certification cited by the source, the battery retains at least 80% of its capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles.
The smartphone runs the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 4 nm chipset with Adreno 812 GPU, paired with 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage of 128 GB UFS 2.2, or 256 GB UFS 4.1.
The rear camera setup is based on a 50 MP main sensor with a f/1.5 aperture and optical stabilization, accompanied by an 8 MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2. On the software side, the POCO X8 Power runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, with a promise of 4 major OS updates and 6 years of security patches.

Regarding the release in Italy, it remains to be seen what strategy Xiaomi will adopt: the phone, in fact, is a rebrand of Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, already launched in our latitudes.
The device could also come with POCO, perhaps with some differences and the brand’s typical yellow color, but for now there are no confirmations or hints.
