After weeks of rumors about design, battery and chipset that we already discussed in our previous deep-dives, a definite date has finally arrived: Lei Jun’s company has confirmed that Xiaomi 18 Fold and Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max will officially debut on September 7. At the same event, Xiaomi will also present the brand’s new electric vehicles SkyNomad, N70 Pro, N70 Max and N90 Max.
Xiaomi 18 Fold and Pad 9 Pro Max: what we know about the September launch

Protagonist of the event will be Xiaomi 18 Fold, the brand’s first wide-format foldable (recently unveiled by Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8), as well as being the world’s first smartphone to mount the new chip XRING O3.
The processor, built on 3 nanometers, adopts a 10-core configuration (6 cores super-large and 4 large cores) with a maximum frequency of 4.35 GHz, paired with a 16-core G2-Ultra NX GPU.
According to Xiaomi, the new chip delivers an 85% improvement in graphics performance compared to its predecessor, while reducing power consumption by 64%. The new 18 Fold will mount LPDDR6 RAM, produced by ChangXin Memory Technologies.
The company has already confirmed the presence of an external 5,38″ display and an internal 7,58″ diagonal, along with the stunning red color.
Also Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max will arrive with the same XRING O3 chip on board: the tablet appeared on Geekbench with a respectable score. The device would target an audience that works with video editing, digital drawing and heavy multitasking, with a 13,3″ display and over 10,000 mAh of battery.

Finally there will also be room to once again showcase the EREV SUVs of the SkyNomad family: in July Xiaomi announced the N70 Max and N90 Max versions, while during the September event the N70 Pro model will be announced.
