Nothing teases two new products: the Pokémon-themed teasers are a must

This is a tradition that has continued since the dawn of Nothing: the brand’s products use Pokémon code names and even this time the house of Carl Pei anticipates a launch with teasers that nod to the famous creatures from Game Freak. The clues point toward Blastoise, one of the most loved Pokémon from the first generation, and Jumpluff, directly from the Johto region: which devices could they be?

Blastoise is a Water-type Pokémon: native to the Kanto region, it is the final evolution of one of the three starters from the first generation. We are dealing with a heavy, large, armored creature with a certain affinity for liquids. In this case the media lean toward a new smartphone (clearly with IP68 or IP69 classification).

There are no rumors about a possible Nothing Phone, but for months there have been whispers about the debut of CMF Phone 3 Pro: knowing Nothing’s brand partner we can expect a design unique of its kind, while for the leaks the lineup will move from MediaTek to a Snapdragon SoC.

The codename Jumpluff is associated with an accessory: we are talking about a second-generation Grass/Flying-type Pokémon, in stark contrast with Blastoise. In this case, the creature represents agility and lack of weight and, consequently, we are looking at a new pair of Bluetooth earbuds.

A few more uncertainties surround this gadget: it could be the Nothing Ear (3a) TWS, of which some details have already leaked (including the possible price in Europe); the alternative is the CMF Buds Neo but everything remains quiet from the company.
