The success enjoyed by OnePlus 15 has pushed the tech giant to prepare a new device capable of pushing hardware specifications to unprecedented limits.
The latest leaks outline a a OnePlus 16 with extreme features, designed to further widen the technical gap with the market’s most prestigious Western rivals.
OnePlus 16 will be an over-the-top flagship

Recent disclosures point strongly to the front-panel performance, framed by perfectly symmetric edges. Although early reports suggested continuity with the 165 Hz of the previous model, or even a leap to 240 Hz, information from reliable Asian informants now converges on a refresh rate of 185 Hz.
This is an extremely high figure, far above what was expected for flagship devices from Western brands.
Under the hood, operations will be handled by the processor Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, paired with a minimum of 12 GB of RAM. To complete the user interaction, there will be a physical button fully dedicated to AI functions.
Improved photography and record-breaking battery life
The rear camera module will receive an update. Contrary to initial speculations that posited an extreme primary sensor, the most authoritative sources, including leaker Yogesh Brar, confirm the use of a 50 MP main camera.
The real surprise lies in the telephoto lens: a 200 MP unit with 3x optical zoom, designed to capture sharp details at long distance.
To support all this, the Asian company will integrate a silicon-carbon battery with an impressive capacity of 9,000 mAh. This module will ensure extended battery life, surpassing every standard currently used in high-end mobile phones.
The combination of these specifications paints a technical profile capable of making future Pixel 11 Pro and Apple’s offerings pale, companies that rarely venture into such exaggerated specifications.
The real competition for OnePlus will come from domestic brands. Entities such as Vivo, with its X300 Ultra, and OPPO, with the Find X9 Ultra, already offer formidable photographic configurations, while Xiaomi is preparing to equip the 18 series with batteries exceeding 7,000 mAh.
