Two aren’t enough; this smartphone will have as many as three 200 MP sensors

October looks set to be particularly hot for the smartphone sector, with the highly anticipated debut of the new OPPO‘s flagship series.

The rumors that have leaked so far suggest a lineup consisting of three distinct variants: the base model, the Pro version, and the new Find X10 Pro Max.

That very model has recently come under the magnifying glass, revealing a technical spec that hinges on the brute power of the camera department and on an unprecedented pixel density.

According to information shared by the well-known informant Digital Chat Station, OPPO intends to push beyond current limits by integrating a triple rear camera configuration in which each single module boasts a resolution of 200 MP.

The main camera should rely on a sensor of 1/1,3", a generous size capable of capturing a large amount of light even in challenging conditions.

However, the real surprise lies in the periscope telephoto. For this lens, the manufacturer would have chosen a 200 MP sensor with a diagonal of 1/1,28", paradoxically bigger than that of the main sensor.

Completing the picture is an ultra-wide angle module, also 200 MP with a sensor of 1/1,56", although some leaks suggest OPPO is concurrently testing an alternative 50 MP solution with a 1/2,75" sensor. To further refine color fidelity, the system also includes a 3 MP multispectral sensor dedicated to color calibration.

Processing power and display quality

Beyond its photographic capabilities, the Find X10 Pro Max promises top-tier performance thanks to the upcoming hardware platform from MediaTek. The smartphone is expected to be among the first to feature the Dimensity 9600 chipset, built with a 2 nm process.

This chip will ensure better energy management and the image processing capacity needed to handle the enormous amount of data produced by the three high-resolution sensors.

The viewing experience will not be lacking either, as OPPO is still evaluating the final configuration for the front panel. The options on the table include an LTPO display of 6.89" with 2K resolution, ideal for those seeking maximum size and detail, or a slightly more compact version of 6.78" with 1.5K resolution.

In both cases, LTPO technology will ensure an extremely smooth variable refresh rate, confirming the premium nature of a device that aims to become the new benchmark for technology and mobile photography enthusiasts.
