The mid-range market is undergoing a small revolution focused on one of the most critical points for users: battery life. Several brands have already launched (in China) smartphones with extra-large batteries, thanks to silicon-carbon technology – which allows a slim profile, so no rugged brick-like devices.
Now vivo has also confirmed the imminent launch of its first Battery Phone vivo Y600 Pro and joins the list of brands hovering around 10,000 mAh.
vivo Y600 Pro with a record battery: ready to challenge Honor and Realme with over 10,000 mAh

At the heart of it all is the gigantic 10,200 mAh battery, a figure that places the vivo Y600 Pro among the most capacious devices in its category. To balance such an energy reserve, the company reportedly planned support for 90W fast charging, a solution necessary to ensure reasonable charging times despite the size.
Turning to rumors, the device doesn’t seem to want to compromise too much, offering a generous flat 6.83″ LTPS OLED display with 1.5K resolution. Under the hood there would be the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, with a maximum clock frequency of 2.5 GHz.
Regarding the camera department, the official teaser has already confirmed the presence of a 50 MP main sensor, while the secondary one could be a simpler 2 MP module.
Vivo’s strategy clearly aims to challenge direct rivals such as the upcoming Redmi Note 17 and Honor X80, also expected on the market with colossal batteries. Even iQOO, Vivo’s sub-brand, seems to be working on a similar project, evidence that the Battery Phone segment has become strategic for manufacturers.
The launch of the new Y600 Pro is expected by the end of April: it remains to be seen if the device will have a Global counterpart.
