With the launch of the new flagship devices, Samsung has changed its software release strategy. The Galaxy S26 series debuted with One UI 8.5 on board, the mid-version of the brand’s proprietary interface; for One UI 9 we will have to wait for the summer and the unveiling of the new foldables Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8. In the meantime, older smartphones have also started receiving the latest version of the software: here are the Samsung devices that can access One UI 8.5 beta, while awaiting the stable rollout for everyone.
One UI 8.5 Beta: here is the list of Samsung smartphones supported (at the moment)
The first devices affected were those from the Galaxy S25 family, but after the preliminary phase Samsung expanded the tests to other models, among classic smartphones and foldables. Unfortunately the beta program of One UI 8.5 is available in only six markets and Italy is not among them: the experimental version of the software can be tested in India, South Korea, Germany, Poland, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Consequently, at least for our region, one must wait either for the opening of a dedicated beta program or for the release. The list below indicates only the phones for which the beta software has been released; for the complete list of devices that will receive One UI 8.5, see the dedicated article.

To participate in the One UI beta program, you need to click the dedicated banner inside the Samsung Members app. After accepting terms and conditions, simply register and download the beta update in the Settings, Software updates sections. However, we would like to note again that at the moment the beta program dedicated to One UI 8.5 is not available in Italy.
