Clicks, the company known for having brought the QWERTY keyboard back to the iPhone (and beyond) through its cases, has decided to take an even bolder step: to create its own device.
It is named Clicks Communicator and it is designed not so much to replace your current smartphone, but to complement it, offering a pure communication experience, free from the digital distractions that fill our days.

Far from the monolithic design of modern flagships, Clicks Communicator reintroduces features that major manufacturers have abandoned in the last decade. In addition to the complete physical QWERTY keyboard, which boasts larger keys than Clicks’ original case and a touch-sensitive surface capable of acting as a trackpad, the device offers a range of physical ports and buttons highly valued.
Indeed, you’ll find a headphone jack, a physical switch for silent mode, and, most importantly, a slot for memory expansion via microSD.
Additionally, customization is at the core of the hardware experience: the phone features interchangeable back covers, allowing the user to change the device’s style at will.
Software minimal and smart notifications
Under the hood, the Communicator is a completely autonomous device. Equipped with 5G connectivity and based on Android 16, it allows downloading any necessary application.
However, the product philosophy is that of digital minimalism. The user interface relies on a launcher designed with Niagara, which organizes apps in a neat and discreet list rather than in a grid designed to capture attention.

Technical specifications and market positioning
Despite its compact size, the Clicks Communicator does not compromise on essential quality specifications for doing its job. The device features a 4.03-inch OLED display and two cameras, one front and one rear.
The autonomy is guaranteed by a silicon-carbon battery of 4,000 mAh, a notable capacity for a device of these dimensions, which promises excellent endurance. The phone will be available in three colors: Shamrock green, a smoky white, and an almost black onyx shade.
All this, however, comes at a price. The list price is set at $499, a figure that puts it in direct competition with mid-range smartphones that are fully equipped, such as a Pixel A-series.
However, to encourage the adoption of this unique concept, Clicks has launched a promotion that allows you to reserve the device at a reduced price, bringing the total to $399.
Time will tell if the public will be willing to invest such a sum for the privilege of owning a secondary phone dedicated exclusively to communication and productivity without distractions.
