If Apple has chosen to dare with bold tones, the latest rumors suggest that Samsung will take a different path for its next flagship, betting everything on elegance rather than splendor.
Samsung Galaxy S26 will not be available in orange
Last year, the release of the iPhone 17 Pro shook the market not only for its technical specifications, but also for its distinctive aesthetics, embodied by the controversial and brilliant color “Cosmic Orange”.
Considering Samsung’s long-standing tendency to closely follow Cupertino’s moves, many analysts and enthusiasts almost took for granted that the upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup would respond with its own “hero color” just as flashy.
Among these options, the purple (or violet) is set to take on the starring role. Unlike Apple’s bright Cosmic Orange, this variant is described as a premium and extremely elegant choice. It will be this purple—the “color of the year”—the one we will see dominating billboards and marketing campaigns at the product launch.

Naturally, Samsung’s strategy will not be limited to these four standard options: it is reasonable to expect that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will arrive with exclusive colorways purchasable only through the company’s official site, a long-standing tradition that in the past has given us memorable finishes such as the vivid red of the Galaxy S23 Ultra or the special variants of the S25 series.
