The wait for the debut of the new flagship from iQOO is now drawing to a close. The brand has scheduled for next February 4 the official presentation date of iQOO 15 Ultra, a device that marks a significant milestone for the company as it is the first smartphone to bear the name “Ultra”.
Although the company had already released official renders to preview the product’s design language, a recent contribution from the well-known leaker Ice Universe offered the public a much more concrete and detailed look thanks to a hands-on video that reveals the phone’s appearance in the real world.
iQOO 15 Ultra appears in a video just days before launch
The live images confirm a particular care for the rear panel design. The back panel of iQOO 15 Ultra is characterized by a distinctive hexagonal pattern, capable of rendering color-shifting effects when hit by light from different angles.
On the sides a metal frame with a matte finish, giving the device a solid and premium look. The camera island presents a design that distinctly separates from the standard iQOO 15 model, integrating air vents at the bottom, a detail that suggests great attention to thermal management.
Examining the smartphone’s profiles, the device’s focus on high performance and gaming becomes clear. On the right side, in addition to the power button and the volume rocker, there is room for rear triggers, essential tools for the most demanding gamers.
The left side hides a notable surprise: there is an air-outlet vent, needed for the operation of the integrated cooling fan.
The array of ports and sensors is complete: the bottom hosts the USB-C port, the SIM slot, the main microphone and a grille for the speaker. On the top, the device offers a second microphone, an additional audio output and the infrared LED.
Raw power and confirmed specifications
Although the full specification sheet will be unveiled only next Wednesday, several features have already been confirmed or surfaced via benchmarking platforms. The display will be a 2K unit capable of reaching an impressive peak brightness of 8,000 nits, with Dolby Vision support.
Under the hood, according to Geekbench, there will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 16 GB of RAM and the Q3 proprietary chip dedicated to optimizing gaming sessions.
Also the audio section promises an immersive experience thanks to the stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. We will have to wait a few days to discover every detail of this promising terminal.
