After the release of all Xiaomi-branded updates, April will be devoted entirely to the Redmi flagship model. However, as seen before, the flagship won’t be the only one and now Redmi K Pad 2 is joining the lineup. Once again the tablet is expected to offer flagship-level performance in a compact form factor: here are the latest updates straight from various Chinese insiders.
Redmi K Pad 2 certified: let’s take stock of the situation on the upcoming compact tablet
The first chapter of the K Pad series posed a challenge for Xiaomi’s sub-brand, but the test can be considered won. Not only did it enjoy strong success in its home country, but it was also launched globally as Xiaomi Pad Mini (not in Italy). A second model seems taken for granted and indeed the tablet has been certified domestically under the code 26048RP6AC.
As usual, the model number reveals the release window: 2604, i.e., the month of April, in line with rumors about the release of Redmi K90 Ultra. The tablet has appeared in the database of an authority with support for charging at 67W, the same power as its predecessor.
This doesn’t mean there won’t be news: from the previous leaks about the presence of a larger battery (9,000 mAh) emerged, while powering the device would be the Dimensity 9500, MediaTek’s latest flagship SoC. The display size and specs wouldn’t change: better, since we’re talking about a compact 8.8-inch 3K model with a 165 Hz refresh rate.
