The Chinese manufacturer has reinforced its gaming monitor lineup with the addition of Redmi G25, an affordable solution but capable of delivering great results. It is the most affordable Xiaomi gaming model with a 200 Hz display, currently launched in China – but fingers crossed for a possible debut also in our latitudes.
Redmi G25: features, price and release of Xiaomi’s new gaming monitor
The newcomer sits exactly between the previous G24 and G27, a mid-range model that aims to offer high performance at a price we could describe as ridiculously low. Redmi G25 features an IPS panel of 24.5″ diagonal with Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Its hallmark is the refresh rate of 200 Hz, ideal especially for competitive games.
Among other features we have a GTG response time of 1 ms, HDR 400, viewing angles of 178°, a maximum brightness of 400 nits, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 8-bit color depth and a 95% DCI–P3 coverage.
AdaptiveSync support is not missing, but beyond the performance-focused features there is also attention to eye comfort; the panel is TUV Rheinland certified for low blue-light emission, while DC Dimming reduces eye fatigue.
Redmi G25 is equipped with an HDMI port, a DisplayPort 1.4 and a mini-jack input for speakers or headphones. In addition, VESA mounting is possible for users who prefer to have the display on the wall. The price of the new Xiaomi gaming monitor is only 609 yuan, about €73 at the current exchange rate. For now the debut has taken place only in China, so we await a possible global release.
