Xiaomi turns the foot bath into a massager with UV sterilization

Xiaomi continues to expand the Mijia catalog with products designed for personal care, and this time it directly targets domestic relaxation. In China, Mijia Sterilization Foot Bath debuts, a heated foot bath that combines massage, precise temperature control, and a particular water sterilization system using ultraviolet rays.

One of the most interesting features concerns precisely the sterilization system. Instead of placing a UV lamp directly inside the tub, Xiaomi uses a patented design that integrates the ultraviolet component deep within the hydraulic circuit. The water is therefore treated as it circulates and, according to the company, the system reaches a sterilization rate of the 99.9%.

This configuration should also prevent untreated areas and possible UV dispersion associated with exposed lamps. The process can also operate while you are using the foot bath, without the need to start a separate cleaning cycle afterwards.

For the massage, Mijia Sterilization Foot Bath uses two rotating discs placed under a silicone TPE cover. The discs rotate forward and knead in reverse to simulate the movement of hands, offering three different modes.

The structure reaches a height of 358 mm, while the inner tub is 250 mm deep. The device heats the water quickly, safely and precisely, all with a system backed by sensors that help keep the selected temperature stable even during longer sessions.

The temperature can be adjusted from 35°C to 48°C, while an LED panel allows you to manage the various functions.

Xiaomi has paid particular attention to safety as well, with seven integrated protection levels. Finally, at the base of the device there are straight and omnidirectional wheels, which can be locked during use and facilitate movement when needed. The drain is located in a recessed position to facilitate emptying of the tub.

Xiaomi Mijia Sterilization Foot Bath was launched in China with a recommended price of 429 yuan, about 55€ at the exchange rate. As usual, it is an exclusive product for the Asian market, but who knows what the future holds: at IFA 2026, Xiaomi confirmed a greater expansion of Mijia solutions in Europe (so fingers crossed)!
