With this Xiaomi bathroom heater you won’t touch a switch anymore: the radar takes care of it

Xiaomi expands its range of smart products in China with the new Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater 2C, an intelligent ceiling heater that focuses mainly on automation: the 24 GHz radar detects the presence of a person in the bathroom and accordingly manages turning on the light and ventilation, without the need to touch any button.

The device integrates a graphene heating module of 3,000W, paired with a DC motor that handles a flow of air up to 180 m3/h with adjustable oscillation between 60° and 100°. Completing the package is an integrated LED lighting of 1,600 lumens compliant with the RG0 standard, plus a plasma sterilization system with a declared efficiency above 99.9%.

The distinctive feature of Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater 2C is the 24 GHz radar, capable of detecting when someone enters the bathroom and automatically turning on the light and ventilation, and turning them off just as automatically when the environment is empty.

The radar’s sensitivity can be adjusted directly from the app, which also allows scheduling operating hours and controlling the device via voice commands.

The panel measures 600 x 300 mm, while the main unit has dimensions of 604.5 x 304 x 105 mm for a total weight of 4.15 kg; IPX2 certification and protections against short circuit and overheating complete the safety picture.

Price, pre-orders and availability in China

Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater 2C starts at a price of 882 yuan, equivalent to about €114. Pre-orders will open on September 21 in China and currently there are no details regarding an international release. At IFA 2026, Xiaomi announced the broad expansion of Mijia across Europe, so it’s always good to keep an eye on the latest releases at home.
