A few days before its unveiling, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 by Qualcomm has already conquered six smartphones from as many brands, with one of these already on the market and the others expected in the coming weeks. Here are which ones they are, in order of launch, and what we can expect in Italy.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, the first to arrive
Xiaomi 18 Pro Max was the first smartphone to mount the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, officially launched in China on September 23 with global availability already confirmed (by the end of the year).
The device features a LTPO AMOLED display measuring 6.92 inches, with brightness up to 4,000 nits, and a triple camera system consisting of a 200 MP main sensor, a 200 MP periscope with 3.2x zoom, and a 50 MP ultrawide. The battery is 8,500 mAh, with 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 27W reverse wireless charging.
And if Xiaomi talks about a global launch for the Pro series, the Pro Max model should make an appearance in Italy.
HONOR Magic 9 Pro Max, dual 200 MP sensors and ARRI optics
HONOR Magic 9 Pro Max debuts in China on September 28, although the international launch has not yet been announced.
The camera system relies on a dual 200 MP sensor: the main one with an aperture of f/1.57 (1/1,28) and a night telephoto f/2.6 (1/1,4), developed in collaboration with ARRI for cinematic rendering.
Completing the specs are a 6.8-inch OLED display, an 8,800 mAh battery, memory configurations up to 16 GB / 1 TB, and Moss Green, Silver, and Shadow Black colors.
Our release is taken for granted, since HONOR has a long tradition of Camera Phone in Italy.
iQOO 16, the Samsung panel at 165 Hz
iQOO 16 arrives on September 29 with a 6.85 2K panel and a 165 Hz refresh rate developed with Samsung. On the back there is a triple camera with three 50 MP sensors, while the gaming-dedicated Q4 chip works together with an enhanced vibration motor and speakers. The battery is 8,400 mAh, with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless.
In this case we will certainly have a Global launch, but Italy is not one of the markets where the vivo brand is present.
OnePlus 16, launch confirmed but without a precise date
Pete Lau’s company has confirmed that OnePlus 16 will arrive soon with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, but without indicating a precise launch date.
Anyway, it’s likely to arrive in September, with a triple-camera setup of 200 MP + 50 MP + 50 MP (with a periscopic telephoto and an ultrawide), a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED display at 185 Hz, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 9,000 mAh battery.
No OnePlus 16 in Italy: the company has abandoned European and US markets to focus solely on India (with mid-range and budget phones) and China (with flagships).
REDMAGIC 12 Pro+, 0.96 mm bezels and under-display camera of ninth generation
REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ is confirmed for October, although the exact date has not yet been communicated. The device features ultra-narrow bezels of 0.96 mm and a camera under the display. The battery reaches 8,400 mAh, with 120W wired charging and 80W wireless charging, and configurations up to 24/1 TB are expected.
REDMAGIC is another guarantee for Italy: certainly after the announcement in China, the release window for European markets (including ours) will be revealed.
Motorola Signature 27, unusual camera and Bang & Olufsen audio
Motorola has confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 on the Snapdragon Summit stage for Motorola Signature 27, but a date is still missing.
The device stands out for an unusual camera design, with a 50 MP sensor paired with a 200 MP periscopic telephoto lens, a cooling system with a vapor chamber (and a 40% efficiency improvement) and a collaboration with Bang & Olufsen for the audio.
In this case, the debut in Italy is expected to be low-key, as it was for the first Signature.
