After POCO X8 Pro and Pro Max and POCO X8 standard in September, the series seems ready to expand further. Some details leaked online preview the first elements on POCO X8s, from the camera department to the launch markets planned by Xiaomi.
POCO X8s: what emerges from the details leaked online
The certifications that emerged in the last few hours associate POCO X8s with the codes 2609CPC5FG for the Global variant and M583CF for the Chinese one: the prefix “2609” would suggest a September 2026 launch, in line with an announcement now imminent. However, as the month draws to a close, it seems more likely that the debut will be set for October.
On the camera front, the device would offer three focal lengths: 0.6x via ultra-wide, 1x for standard shooting with the 50 MP main camera and 2.5x for zoom. It remains to be clarified whether the last value is achieved with a second dedicated sensor or via digital crop on the main sensor.
However, there is no information about the chipset yet: the previous variants of the X8 series alternated between MediaTek and Qualcomm solutions, but for POCO X8s there is still no reference.
A launch that looks beyond China
In China the device would arrive with the Redmi brand, while on international markets it would keep the POCO X8s name. According to the certifications, the launch would include Europe, Russia, Turkey and other global markets.
