With a surprise announcement, Motorola has revealed the first details about its upcoming flagship, significantly moving the timeline ahead of expectations.
The new Signature 27, originally expected for next year, will instead be officially unveiled on September 22, in conjunction with the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii.

The images released on the brand’s social channels show a device that abandons the classic proportions. The bulky upper section houses as many as four cameras arranged in two horizontal rows, then gradually tapers toward the bottom to create a curved and unusually slim profile.
This is a stylistic choice that diverges from the line traced by the previous generation.
The materials used to enrich the chassis are described by the company as meticulously crafted and without any compromise. It has been confirmed that two Pantone-certified colors, named Coal Smoke and Capulet Olive.
The real peculiarity lies in the TCX acronym associated with these hues, standing for Textile Cotton eXtended, a standard historically used in the textile industry.
This detail strongly suggests the use of finishes that evoke the weave of the fabric, offering an alternative to the classic glass backs that are common among competitors.
Performance is also expected to be exceptionally high. The close partnership for the Hawaiian event confirms the adoption of an state-of-the-art Snapdragon processor, the natural evolution of the high-end chip seen in the model from last January.
An in-depth analysis of the promotional videos has also allowed us to spot key details about the camera system: on the rear module clearly stands the inscription referring to a 200 MP main sensor, a decisive step forward from the previous 50 MP triple-camera, supported moreover by the technology Dolby Vision for capture and playback at the highest quality levels.
This debut raises some questions about the actual availability, which could nonetheless slip to the first months of the new year, but the will to compete in the top tier of the market is evident.
