Samsung has scheduled an official presentation event for the end of August, during which it will most likely unveil to the world a new device from the Galaxy S26 family.
Although corporate communications still keep some mystery about the product’s name, every clue planted by the South Korean giant and the ongoing rumors point unwaveringly toward the launch of the highly anticipated Galaxy S26 FE.
This new edition aims to offer a top-tier hardware package, including the latest artificial intelligence features and a high-end camera system, at a much more affordable price compared to the premium models in the same line.
The global presentation will be streamed live through the website and the Samsung YouTube channel.
The official invitation released by the company explicitly mentions the arrival of a novelty designed to bring the core Galaxy S26 experiences, from photography to artificial intelligence to the latest One UI interface, to an ever wider audience.
A short promotional video released online reinforces this thesis, showing three drinks arranged on a pill-shaped tray. This is a clear reference to the rear camera module of the smartphone that has appeared for months in leaked images on the web.
In addition to the new smartphone, the August 27 event could bring other surprises for users, such as the likely debut of the Galaxy Tab S12 line and the new Galaxy Buds.
The numerous details that emerged in recent weeks allow us to sketch a precise profile of the smartphone’s specs. The front panel will host an AMOLED display of 6.7 inches with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Under the aluminum chassis, protected by the durable Gorilla Glass Victus Plus glass, there will be the Exynos 2500 processor built with a 3 nm process. This chip will be supported by 8 GB of memory RAM and up to 256 GB of storage.
The camera system will feature a raised rear module housing a 50 MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide sensor and a telephoto lens of 8 MP with 3x optical zoom.
Regarding autonomy, the device will rely on a 4,900 mAh battery with fast charging at 45W. Some recent European energy certifications suggest the smartphone could reach up to 50 hours of typical use, achieving an excellent Grade A rating.
The user experience will be guaranteed by the Android 17 operating system customized with the One UI 9, supported by a software update program lasting 7 years.
IP68-rated against water and dust will be available in various colors including graphite, blueberry, pistachio, and a purple-leaning color variant shown in some unofficial videos.
The only detail causing some discussion is the possible launch price, estimated around €749. This figure represents a significant increase over the previous generation, a rise that is directly linked to the current global RAM memory supply crisis affecting the entire tech sector.
