Over the past year, OPPO has launched several Realme smartphones with a 10,000 mAh super battery. We could describe it as a kind of proving ground, ahead of its debut on OPPO’s own devices.
Apparently the tests have been successful, and the confirmation is the release of OPPO A7 Pro Max, the brand’s first true Battery Phone — with silicon-carbon technology, an orange colorway that nods to Cupertino, and a Snapdragon freshly launched.
The main feature of the new mid-range in the A series is the battery: as hinted at the opening, it is a 10,000 mAh silicon-carbon unit, for exceptional endurance.
80W fast charging allows the device to be ready in a short time. The reverse charging support (27W) is extremely useful to use the phone as a Power Bank when needed, without the risk of running out of energy.
The other novelty is represented by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5: OPPO A7 Pro Max is the first phone powered by Qualcomm’s new budget platform, announced in May. It is an economical 4 nm solution that leans toward gaming, given the support for 90 fps (it’s the first time for the Snapdragon 4 series).
The display is a 6.78″ AMOLED unit with Full HD resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, peak brightness up to 1,800 nits, and an integrated fingerprint reader. The phone is water- and dust-resistant with IP69K rating.
Moving to the cameras, we are dealing with a setup not overly ambitious: there is a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, together with a 2 MP monochrome lens. On the front, in the center punch-hole, there is a 50 MP selfie camera.
The new OPPO A7 Pro Max debuts in China in orange (a vivid shade inspired by the morning sun), blue/white gradient (inspired by the waves of the sea) and the classic black. The two lighter variants feature a three-dimensional rear texture, with light play and an elegant and eye-catching final look.
The smartphone starts at around €283 at the current exchange rate: below you will find prices and configurations for China:
Usually the A series models are also launched in Italy, so it’s likely that the A7 Pro Max won’t be an exception. However, given European legislation, it’s likely it will arrive with a smaller battery. For now it’s all speculation and we await news from OPPO.
