CMF Clip Pro Official: open-ear design, LDAC, and up to 32.5 hours of battery life

CMF by Nothing enters the open-ear earbuds sector with the new CMF Clip Pro, a clip-on model designed to offer a more natural listening experience without completely isolating the user from the surrounding environment.

The earbuds adopt a flexible C-shaped design, 10.8 mm dynamic drivers, LDAC codec support, and a charging case equipped with the Smart Dial. CMF Clip Pro will be available from August 15 in select markets, while arrival in Europe (and in Italy) is planned for the following month.

The brand’s new earbuds use a clip-on attachment system designed to distribute pressure across three points of the ear rather than concentrating it in a single area. The goal is to ensure a stable and comfortable fit during work, daily commutes, and physical activity.

The structure is characterized by a slender C-shaped bridge with an internal core made of elastic titanium wire.

The component can flex and adapt to different ear shapes, while the skin-contact materials have been chosen to offer a soft feel even during prolonged use. Each earbud weighs 5.9 grams.

The audio section relies on a 10.8 mm dual-magnet dynamic driver with a TPU diaphragm. According to CMF, the system has been optimized to deliver powerful bass, detailed vocals, and crisper high frequencies.

The open-ear design lets you listen to music, podcasts, and calls while still perceiving ambient sounds around you. However, this configuration tends to reduce the bass response compared with traditional in-ear earbuds.

To compensate for this limitation, CMF has developed Ultra Bass technology, tasked with strengthening the lowest frequencies while reducing high-frequency distortion. The earphones also carry Hi-Res Audio certification and support the LDAC, AAC, and SBC codecs.

CMF Clip Pro integrate four HD microphones and Clear Voice Technology based on a VPU. The system is designed to distinguish the user’s voice from ambient noise in real time, improving call quality on the street, in crowded venues, in the office, and in windy conditions.

There is also the Sound Seal feature, which targets mid and high frequencies to limit sound leakage to the outside. The aim is to make conversations and audio content less audible to people nearby.

The feature can be customized via the Nothing X app, choosing whether to apply it only to calls or also to multimedia playback.

One of the most distinctive features of CMF Clip Pro is the Smart Dial integrated directly into the charging case.

The physical knob can be used to adjust the volume, control playback, answer calls, and initiate pairing with a new device, without having to unlock the smartphone. The individual earbuds also have physical controls.

Battery life

The stated battery life reaches up to 10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. Using the battery integrated in the charging case, you reach a maximum total of 32.5 hours.

Fast charging provides up to 4 hours of listening by connecting the earbuds to power for 10 minutes.

The package includes Bluetooth 5.4, simultaneous connection to two devices, and a low-latency mode designed for gaming. Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair are also included to simplify pairing with compatible smartphones and computers.

Through Nothing X you can customize the controls, adjust Sound Seal, update the firmware, and locate your lost earbuds. The IP54 rating also provides protection against dust, sweat, and splashes of water.

Price and availability

The new CMF Clip Pro will be available from August 15 in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Japan, in the colors Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Coral.

For Italy, pre-orders start on September 1 and sales begin on September 7: the earphones will be available at a price of €79.90.
