Redmi 17 has received the EU energy label: launch is imminent

Following the Chinese debut of Redmi 17C, the first budget phone of the new series, Xiaomi is preparing to announce a new affordable model for the European market as well.

After the slew of rumors in recent days, now Redmi 17 4G becomes even more tangible: all thanks to the EU energy certification, which reveals the device’s battery, endurance and durability, and hints at an imminent launch.

In these hours the EPREL label has emerged, an official document proving the arrival in Europe of the new budget phone. It concerns the energy certification introduced by the EU last June, which requires manufacturers to clearly indicate smartphone and tablet details – including the degree of repairability and durability.

In the case of Redmi 17 4G, the phone has been spotted recently: it features a long-lasting 7,500 mAh battery with 45W charging, capable of up to 73 hours and 54 minutes of endurance (on a single charge). The certification confirms that the battery will retain 80% of its capacity up to 1,000 recharge cycles.

Among other details there is the IP64 rating for dust and water, a drop-resistance level B and a repairability rating of level C.

The EPREL label indicates that Redmi 17 4G is very close to launch: the debut could take place during August, but for official confirmation we await details from Xiaomi. Below you will find all previously leaked specifications.
