The month of August will kick off with Xiaomi, with the debut of two smartphones dedicated to Global markets (starting in India). Among them, the Battery Phone POCO M8 Power 5G: a beast with a 7″ display and 8,000 mAh, characterized by a garish orange color.
Awaiting the official debut, the mid-range has been spotted in various live photos and a video leak, revealing all the color options available at launch.
The images show the orange version, which we have already appreciated in the official teasers, along with two more understated shades. According to what has emerged from the photos, POCO M8 Power will also be available in black and silver – all variants feature a large rear camera module.
Among the shots there is also one close-up, which shows the camera module in closer detail, consisting of a dual camera with LED flash.
As teased in recent days, the budget phone will put a strong emphasis on the display and battery: the front section hosts an AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz while under the shell there is a gigantic silicon-carbon unit of 8.000 mAh.
The device promises up to 3 days of battery life and a smooth visual experience with vibrant colors. The release is set for August 4 in India, while there is still no date for a possible debut in Europe. Additionally, the POCO M8 Power should be the Global rebrand of Redmi Note 17, launched in China in mid-July.
Consequently, the specifications of the POCO model should be almost identical to those of its Redmi-branded cousin. The only differences would concern the design and colors: the M8 Power features an extended camera module and different tones compared to the Chinese counterpart.
