OnePlus says goodbye to Europe: it’s OFFICIAL

Here we go again, but this time unfortunately it’s not the usual rumors, but a confirmation complete with an official statement. After the rumors in the past days and the first troubling warning signs – which suggested a real storm on the horizon – the final blow has arrived.

Through a series of notes, OPPO has completely redefined the map of its brands, with a drastic move that marks the end of an era for tech enthusiasts: OnePlus abandons Western markets, bidding farewell to Europe and the United States.

Tech world shake-up: OnePlus officially leaves Europe and the USA, while Realme says goodbye to China

The confirmation that no one would have wanted to read arrived directly from the company’s top executives, with a statement published on the brand’s channels:

“After careful consideration, OnePlus will no longer launch new products in Europe and North America. The rights and interests of existing users, including post-sales support, software updates and security patches, will continue to be fully protected.”

The decision is one of those historic ones. The brand born with the iconic motto Never Settle, which had won the hearts of tech fans around the world thanks to its “flagship killer” devices, officially withdraws from the West.

A painful choice, but it follows the early signs from the past weeks, when talk of an imminent farewell probably driven by economic dynamics began.

What happens to those who already own a OnePlus flagship?

It’s the question many are asking, especially those who recently bought a flagship from the company at a significant price. Fortunately, the company wants to reassure its community.

The promise is total protection: those who already own a OnePlus smartphone will continue to regularly receive the security patches and the new software versions, as well as the post-sale support and the handling of the legal warranty at authorized service centers.

Realme leaves China (but grows with us)

OnePlus’s withdrawal is not an isolated case, but part of a gigantic internal restructuring orchestrated by the parent company OPPO. If OnePlus leaves the West to focus on the Asian market, Realme does exactly the opposite and says goodbye to China.

Here is the official note issued by OPPO that clarifies the new global strategy:

“To further consolidate resources and strengthen the synergies of the global product strategy, realme will focus on international markets and will not launch any more products in China. The OnePlus product roadmap in China remains unchanged. Both realme and OnePlus will continue to offer users premium experiences in gaming and performance.”

In practice, we are witnessing a precise split: China will remain the territory of OnePlus (as well as OPPO), while international markets – Europe in the first place – will become Realme’s exclusive field.

OPPO’s future in Europe remains solid

Among all these moves on the global chessboard, there is a fixed point. OPPO’s European business remains stable and, in fact, is recording strong growth precisely in the premium flagship segment (a sign that the Find series is bearing good fruit in our part of the world).

OPPO has also officially confirmed its commitment to directly supporting OnePlus users in Europe, ensuring that no one will be left behind and that continuity of technical support will be managed to the highest standards.
