Lenovo, new gaming tablet coming to the Legion family

A few months after the official presentation of the fifth-generation Lenovo Legion Y700, which took place in March, the Asian company is preparing to introduce a brand-new variant and even more feature-rich.

Through a series of recently shared previews, it has emerged that in August a device currently known by the name Y700 Unlimited will be unveiled, a translation from the Chinese name that, however, suggests a top-tier user experience.

Lenovo Legion Y700 Unlimited, what do we know?

The most notable novelty for this upcoming edition will be the full 5G support, a feature that will allow users to download heavy titles and compete online with minimal latency, even far from home Wi-Fi connections.

From an aesthetic point of view, the initial promotional materials released by the company reveal a very targeted refresh. A short teaser video has, in fact, allowed us to take a close look at the renewed rear camera island, now enhanced with an RGB LED ring.

Although the full specifications of the August-coming model have not yet been disclosed in detail, it is reasonable to expect a technical sheet in line with the raw power expressed by the variant launched in March.

The fifth-generation Legion Y700 relies on an LCD display of 8.8 inches with a resolution of 1904×3040 pixels, capable of reaching a refresh rate of 165 Hz and a peak brightness of 800 nits.

Powering that device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with impressive RAM configurations ranging from 12 GB up to 24 GB, as well as storage that can go up to 1 TB.

Battery life remains a crucial element of the series, ensured by the inclusion of a generous 9,000 mAh battery supported by a wired fast charging at 68 W. The camera system includes a 50 MP rear sensor and an 8 MP front camera, all managed by the Android 16 operating system.

In the coming weeks, the promotional campaign will almost certainly provide further confirmation of the exact and final specifications of the new Y700 Unlimited.
