The brand’s first smartphone in collaboration with ARRI and equipped with a robotic arm for the camera will not be just a concept but will translate into a commercial device. The launch is set for August, in just a few weeks!

The fateful day is set for 12 August, at least for the Chinese market. Honor Robot Phone is also prominent on the brand’s Global social channels, but for now there is no information whether it will remain a China-exclusive or whether it will be distributed in other countries.
Meanwhile the opening of pre-orders in the homeland revealed both color options – Star Trail Silver and Moon Shadow Gray – and memory options, from 12/256 GB and 16 GB/1 TB.
According to what has emerged, the device would be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. We will be dealing with a top‑of‑the‑line device in every respect, though clearly the most important aspect will be its Camera Phone nature.
The smartphone is equipped with a robotic gimbal with a 200 MP sensor, capable of cinema‑grade footage with exceptional stabilization. All of this with a series of AI‑based features, for example for continuous subject tracking.
According to what has emerged, this will not be a budget device: the latest rumors push the price toward the ultra‑premium tier, approaching figures close to those of foldables.

Awaiting the full presentation, the July 28 event will focus on imaging technologies present with Robot Phone. At the center of it all will be the collaboration with ARRI, the historic German brand specialized in professional cinematography equipment (but also lighting systems and color science).
