Will a new Samsung Galaxy Fit arrive by the end of the year?

The segment of affordable wearable devices continues to attract substantial interest among consumers seeking an essential tracker, lightweight and focused on monitoring daily well-being without having to invest large sums in a classic smartwatch.

In this field, the Galaxy Fit line from Samsung has carved out an important niche thanks to a targeted balance between cost and functionality.

After the launch of the Galaxy Fit 3 which occurred in 2024, the latest rumors indicate that the South Korean tech giant is actively developing a successor, whose market introduction seems scheduled for the second half of 2026.

Samsung Galaxy Fit 4 is coming soon?

Those expecting to see the new smart bracelet during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event will probably be disappointed.

The July 2026 appointment will be focused on other flagship product categories, leaving the new smartband aside for a few more months. According to sources close to the company, the official debut of the Galaxy Fit 4 will come later, with a plausible timeframe around September.

This commercial strategy would allow Samsung to slot the tracker into an autumn joint launch, which should also include the smartphone Galaxy S26 FE and the tablets of the Galaxy Tab S12 series.

Software architecture and hardware continuity

From a technical standpoint, no definitive details have emerged yet about the hardware novelties that will characterize the fourth-generation model. However, it seems highly likely that Samsung will decide to maintain the same software setup of the past.

The Galaxy Fit 4 will not adopt Wear OS, the more complex operating system suited for the brand’s premium smartwatches, but will continue to rely on a real-time operating system based on RTOS.

This choice guarantees excellent menu fluidity, immediate responsiveness and, above all, energy consumption kept to the minimum, preserving battery life for several consecutive days.

The previous model established an excellent starting point, offering a very bright OLED display, accompanied by a sensor kit that includes an accelerometer, a gyroscope and a heart-rate sensor.

The new model will maintain these standards, aiming to refine the overall experience.

GPS integration as a key feature

The real technological breakthrough for this product range lies in the potential introduction of an integrated GPS module.

The model marketed in 2024 forces users to rely on the constant connection with their smartphone to accurately track routes during outdoor activities such as running or cycling.

The inclusion of a native GPS antenna in the Galaxy Fit 4 would allow total independence from the phone during workouts, turning the bracelet into a complete tool and high value for its price range.
