Galaxy A27 accidentally official: all the news revealed by the store

The new generation of Samsung’s mid-range devices is approaching its end: the manufacturer’s Czech division published by mistake the dedicated page for the next model in the lineup, promptly removed. However, the details have leaked and now we basically know everything about Samsung Galaxy A27: the mid-range will peek into Europe soon and in the meantime we already know what to expect, including improvements and downgrades.

The rear design of the mid-range remains unchanged, with a triple-camera setup in a vertical capsule module – accompanied by the LED flash. The front changes things by retiring the archaic waterdrop notch of the Galaxy A26, in favor of a more modern central hole. The available colors are four: classic black and blue, along with pink and green.

The display remains a 6.7″ AMOLED diagonal unit, with Full HD resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate; the fingerprint reader is positioned on the side while the IP rating drops to IP64 (the predecessor is IP67).

The heart of the device changes, moving from the Exynos 1380 to a Qualcomm-made solution. It is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, built on a 4 nm process and clocked up to 2.4 GHz. No change for battery and charging, with a 5,000 mAh unit and support for 25W wired charging.

The camera setup gains a new ultra-wide angle, but goes from 8 MP to 5 MP; the main sensor remains at 50 MP with optical image stabilization while to complete the package we have a 2 MP macro lens.

The selfie camera is also renewed, but the price to pay is the shift from 13 MP to 12 MP. Both the main and front cameras support 4K video recording at 30 fps.

The software is updated to Android 16, with the latest One UI 8.5 and the promise of as many as 6 years of updates (Android and security).

At the moment Samsung has not yet confirmed the price of the new Galaxy A27, so we have to wait until the official debut. However the earlier leaks are far from enticing: we’re talking about a starting price of €349, up from the €319.9 needed to bring home the previous A26 (launched at debut).
