Redmi K100 Pro could exceed 8,000 mAh

The well-known leaker Digital Chat Station has recently shared new and detailed updates on the specs of the upcoming Redmi K100 Pro, partially correcting some rumors that emerged last week.

Experts’ attention is focused in particular on the battery, which promises outstanding values for the sector, while showing a slight scale-back compared to the very first rumors circulating online.

If initially a module capable of reaching or surpassing the 9,000 mAh threshold was anticipated, the latest indications specify that the nominal battery capacity will start with the digit eight. The Redmi K100 Pro will therefore be positioned in a range between 8,000 mAh and 9,000 mAh.

This figure places it directly among the most generous devices on the market in terms of endurance, although it remains to be seen whether it will be able to surpass the previous Redmi K90 Max, which was equipped with an 8,550 mAh unit.

In addition to the capacity, significant details emerge on the charging technologies: the device will support fast wired charging at 100 W, to which now there is confirmation of 50W wireless charging, ensuring considerable flexibility in daily use.

The technical management of the device will be entrusted to the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The rumors also speak of a dual-chip platform, an architecture that suggests the integration of a proprietary coprocessor similar to the Xiaomi D2, already appreciated on models of the previous generation.

This additional component will be responsible for handling AI-related calculations and for optimizing graphical processing before sending data to the screen.

This support will be essential for managing the panel, defined as an ultra-high refresh rate display, which boasts a refresh rate of as high as 185 Hz.

Will there also be a ‘Pro Max’?

The Redmi K100 Pro will adopt a 200 MP main camera, paired with a 50 MP telephoto module optimized also for macro shots at close range.

The smartphone’s chassis, characterized by an aesthetic that closely resembles the geometric lines typical of Apple’s products, will offer full protection against dust and liquid ingress, presumably with an IP69 rating. Completing the equipment are a system of symmetric stereo speakers and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader integrated under the display.

Market analyses also mention the existence of an even more exclusive variant, named Redmi K100 Pro Max. This higher-end model should integrate a main 200 MP image sensor with generous dimensions of 1/1.28 inches, a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens, and the future chipset Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, raising some concerns among enthusiasts due to possible price hikes in the final list price.
