Since last December, Honor has resumed focusing on gaming, presenting the new Win brand, with a flagship equipped with a massive 10,000 mAh battery. In the following months the company has continued on its path, unveiling a notebook and then adding also a smartphone for the mid-range.
All in all, it’s clear that the brand’s plans are long-term and now the first rumors about the possible compact tablet Honor WinPad Mini have surfaced. And yes, in this case too we can expect aggressive specifications.
After smartphones, the gaming tablet Honor WinPad Mini arrives
The usual Digital Chat Station reveals this novelty: the first tablet in the Win family could debut by the end of the year, probably together with the Win 2 flagship series (scheduled for December).
The Chinese insider also provides a brief overview of the hardware; as mentioned at the outset, we will be dealing with a compact model, equipped with an 8-inch diagonal OLED display – with ultra-thin bezels and a high refresh rate (but not specified).
There will be a flagship Qualcomm chipset powering everything, but we still don’t know whether it’s the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or the previous Snapdragon 8 Elite. There are no details on the design, but given the aesthetics of the current Win, Win RT and Win Turbo, it is likely that Honor will opt for an approach classic – abandoning the aggressive look typical of gaming products.
Currently, the devices in the Win family are receiving positive feedback in China; however there are still no signs regarding a potential international version.
