After a mysterious teaser and some previews in the form of leaks, Lei Jun’s company has finally lifted the curtain on one of its most interesting novelties. Xiaomi Clip Ear Headphones are the brand’s new wireless earbuds: for the first time the company uses a clip design, a format we have already learned to appreciate thanks to Huawei’s Huawei’s FreeClip 2.
Xiaomi Clip Ear Headphones Confirmed: The New Earphones Arrive in May

The comparison with the Huawei-branded model is unavoidable, given the category of the new product — clip-on earphones, or ‘clip-on’. However Xiaomi’s design diverges from that of the rival, thanks to a different approach in the look.
The new Clip Ear Headphones feature a single unibody structure composed of two teardrop units and the bridge that unites them; the parts come together seamlessly, while the Satin Gold colorway offers an incredibly elegant aesthetic, aided by the glossy finish. On the other hand, Huawei’s Huawei’s FreeClip 2 presents a fresher and more youthful style, especially in the blue colorway.
As of now, Xiaomi has limited itself to unveiling the design and the commercial name of the earbuds, while all technical details will still need to be awaited. The launch is scheduled for May in China, alongside the Xiaomi 17 Max and the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro tracker.
For the Italian release, we expect the flagship Max to be absent; however the new tech gadgets could also arrive here, given past precedents. The Smart Band Pro has already been announced in our region, and the same goes for the brand’s first open-ear earbuds (Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo).
